What an incredible night in an iconic venue celebrating and showcasing the talent and diversity of all things Australian.
The Chairman of the Australia Day Council of NSW, Angelos Frangopoulos AM hosted over 400 guests in the southern foyer of the Sydney Opera House at the 2018 Australia Day Reception.
Guests included His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret'd) Governor of NSW and Mrs Hurley, the 2018 Australian of the Year Professor Michelle Simmons, 2018 Local Hero Eddie Woo and other distinguished guests.

Australia Day 2018 – Live at Sydney Opera House
Those wanting to get amongst it were able to watch, dance and sing along to the concert staged on the forecourt with over 5,000 people. The concert was hosted by Grant Denyer and Sandra Sully and featured performances by Marcia Hines, Anthony Callea, John Paul Young, Christine Anu, Guy Sebastian, Dami Im, Casey Donovan, Lorenzo Rositano and the KARI Singers.
Live at the Quay!
Harbour side, guests enjoyed front row seats to the newest and most exciting piece of Australia Day in Sydney program yet, Live at the Quay! This musical and dance extravaganza took place on Circular Quay itself with more than 65,000 people watching on. The program included a floating stage, harbour parades, jet-ski shows and a series of dazzling fireworks displays - including a 15 minute exhilarating fireworks finale.
